Faith Rose Lautzenheiser was an amazing 10 year old. Some of Faith's intesests included card games, silly string, hula hooping, reading, coloring, singing, dancing, laughing, movies, and dogs. Faith was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer, and fought bravely for 10 months. She ultimately took her journey to heaven due to chemotherapy induced heart failure. Faith Rose loved and was deeply loved, and her life can only be described with the word joy. I have the priviledge of being Faith's mother, and live with the knowledge that my little girl changed me. She brought such joy into our lives and we miss her every single day. We have started the Fabulous Faith's Foundation in honor of Faith to continue her fight against childhood cancer. Only 4 cents of every Federally funded dollar goes to childhood cancer research, the other 96 cents goes to adult research. This is NOT ok! We must do something more to help our kids. Only with research will treatments be discovered and more lives be saved. I ask that you help us fund research, assist families, and providers and facilities so that one day no child will live with a cancer diagnosis. Faith remains always on our minds and forever in our hearts, as we strive to honor her legacy. Together we CAN make a difference!
