It takes hard work and dedication, but you can make it! My grandmother was an inspirational person. Her strength was in her compassion. She made me a better, stronger person who considers giving back and empathy as important as holding a job. I work at Turning Point in McHenry (a domestic abuse shelter) once a week to offer what I can to victims of violence. Futures Without Violence is an amazing organization that also speaks out about violence and I am happy to contribute what I can to help them out.
