Hi RECIPIENT NAME,

Every 67 seconds, someone in the U.S. develops Alzheimer’s.

My employer, Welltower, is on the front lines—promoting wellness and transforming healthcare infrastructure to better care for the aging population—who are more susceptible to this devastating disease. We’re proud to be working together with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise funds for research and for critical support services for individuals, families and caregivers facing the daily challenges of Alzheimer’s.

We need your help.

As part of our commitment to combatting the disease, Formation Capital is the premier sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Association Brain Ball, scheduled for May 6, 2017 in Washington, D.C. Our goal is to raise $3 million to support this event, through event sponsors and your donations.

All funds raised will provide critical support services for the individuals, families and caregivers facing the daily challenges of Alzheimer’s as well as benefit ongoing research into its cause and prevention.

Together, we can make wellness happen—and eventually find a cure. Click [this link] and donate today.

Thank you.

THE CURE IS WITHIN OUR REACH

Thirteen years ago, I lost my mother to Alzheimer's disease. It was a slow painful decline. It began with a forgetfulness that we sort of laughed off as a sign of aging, but little did we know! As time went on, the deterioration progressed. Fighting with all her pride, she would insist on driving by hiding an extra key even when she knew we didn't want her to drive. Then the fear! Both hers and ours! Ultimately, she lost her identity, her purpose, and her functionality (especially cognitive.) She became so frail that she fell and broke her hip, and was incapable of rehabilitation. I loved my mom! It just wasn't right!

I have been fortunate in life and grateful for many of the gifts my mom gave to me, so I would like to give back and I am asking you to give as well. Through the efforts of the Alzheimer's Association, we are making great advancements in treatments and care for Alzheimer's and dementia. If we all reach a little deeper in our hearts, I believe a better quality of life and cure can be achieved for this devastating disease. Please help me to make this possible!

On May 5th, we will be holding the annual Alzheimer’s Association Brain Ball in Washington, D.C. and would love your support and attendance. Please join me in person or in spirit by contributing to the Alzheimer's Association. Anything you can give will be appreciated and I thank you in advance!
