In 1981, Elizabeth Jordan Carr became the first baby born through in-vitro fertilization in the United States. Carr, who has spoken about fertility and infertility around the world, is currently an editor at Runner's World having previously worked as the social media marketing manager for The Boston Globe/Boston.com and senior health & wellness producer for Boston.com. A graduate of Simmons College and former Naughton Fellow at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, she is also wildly addicted to coffee.
This will be Elizabeth's second Boston Marathon after deciding she wanted to run for charity to that makes the world that much healthier and happier after she stood on the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon finish line to witness the bomb blasts.
There is no greater gift than one's health, and Forsyth supports a healthy lifestyle and public healthcare in so many important ways.
