BENEFITING: FORSYTH Institute
ORGANIZER: FORSYTH Institute
EVENT: 2015 Boston Marathon
EVENT DATE: Apr 20, 2015
I've been at Forsyth since 2007, working in Dr. Bruce Paster's lab in the Department of Microbiology, and now also help with technology transfer and marketing of Forsyth's intellectual property with researchers throughout the institute.
I've been a runner since middle school, and started competing in triathlons about four years ago. Even though I was technically a "distance" runner in middle/high school, up until last year when I ran the Boston Marathon for the first time, I was by no means a marathoner. I love my 5Ks, maybe a 10K here and there, but those 15/18/20 mile "training runs" were no joke. This will be my second time running Boston, even though I said I'd never run another marathon after I finished last year.
By supporting me and my fellow runners, you are supporting the passionate scientists at Forsyth and their innovative research that benefits us all.
