Tristian first blessed our lives 8 years ago and has given us joy ever since. My sister was very shocked at 19 weeks via Amnio test, to find out that her second baby would be born with Down Syndrome. She was very nervouse and scared but never waivered in her decision to give birth to the baby boy that was growing insider her. She was an amazing mother to him while we had her here and continues to watch over him from up above.. As for Tristian, he instantly became our special boy who loves to sing, dance, hug and smile. He has so much of his mom in him which we are thankful for since she passed away 2 years ago. Tristian has struggled with his health, lost his mommy and still seems to laugh and love life. He is our "MIRACLE CHILD." At the age of 9 months he contracted RSV and almost lost his life. It was God, the doctors at Children's Hospital, our love and Tristian's fight to survive that pulled him thru. Due to the illness, Tristian can not eat anything solid by mouth. He struggles with a permanent feeding button in which formula passes thru a tube into a button in his that opens and shuts, in his belly. It is difficult for him to watch other people eat, especially his brothers. Tristian does get to enjoy ice cream though. As well as his eating condition, he has been having a hard time trying to make sense of where his mom is. It breaks our hearts every time we have to tell him that she is in the sky with God now.
Tristian is a true blessing to our family and I can't imagine my life without him. We thank God for him everyday and would do anything for him and others that share his challenges and love for life.
We are honored to have participated and continue be a part of the annual Buddy Walks. We have attended 1 year in Raleigh, North Carolina, 1 year in Baltimore MD, 1 year in Rehoboth, MD and 2 years in Frederick, MD.
Please help us raise money for this cause that MEANS SO MUCH TO US by sponsoring or donating to our team. We would also love it if you could come walk with us on the day of the Buddy Walk on October 6th, 2012. The Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County does wonderful things with the donation money like raise awareness in the community of individuals whom have Down Syndrome, support groups for family, friends and people who have Down Syndrome where they can talk, be understood and accepted, advocate for rights for people whom have Down Syndrome, they put importance on the role that professionals play in supporting the development and potential of people with Down syndrome Most importantly, t ...vnvnvn...... . ttttttttthhhey put importance on the rights of people with Down syndrome to participate in decisions about their lives including choices about where they live, learn, work and play.
Even a little, can make a HUGE difference. Thank you for supporting Tristian and the Down Syndrome Cause. We love You!
