It is always important to nurture talent at a young age. And with your help, volunteer teacher Eli Pearl can give the children of Stephen Foster Elementary School some amazing resources for their newly implemented music program. Eli has seen a tremendous amount of interest in his afterschool guitar classes. His program not only educates and inspires, it gives Foster’s impressionable students a creative outlet after the school day ends.
Unfortunately, right now there are not enough instruments to accommodate the classes. Eli’s goal is to raise funds for more guitars, more drum kits, more accessories and to continue to support the current in-school music partner at Foster, Education Through Music-LA, which provides music as part of the day time curriculum. Purchasing these and similar items will not only make the classes more effective, it will boost morale and encourage unity.
Eli, Education Through Music-LA and the rest of Foster’s faculty are doing incredible work to help better the lives of young people. Please, join WME in supporting their cause and donate what you can for these amazing children.
All funds raised will be used for the purchase of guitars, drum kits, harps, a PA system and any additional equipment needed to enhance the music program at Foster Elementary School.
Education Through Music-Los Angeles is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide music education in disadvantaged schools as part of the core curriculum in order to enhance students' academic performance and creative and general development.
