Fouzia-11 years old (eye cancer) (the goal is reached)
Organized by: Naoual Rsimi
Fouzia is an 11-year-old young Moroccan from Essaouria, the only child her parents were blessed to have. Fouzia was diagnosed with eye cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma), and underwent chemotherapy for two years in a row, and a total of three surgeries. Fouzia is still going through rounds of chemotherapy, and currently fighting a post-op infection. Fouzia and her parents are currently in Marrakesh, where she is receiving the medical care from Ibn Toufail Hospital. I’d like to bring to your attention the parents are extremely impoverished, and in dire need for financial assistance. The father, is the sole bread winner of the family, used to sell vegetables in the streets of Essaouria…and hasn’t been able to earn a living in a while due current circumstances. They live day-by-day depending on the help of some relatives. The father has been fighting hard for his daughter, knocking on the door of every organization he heard of, and thankfully because he got Ramid insurance after a long struggle, Fouzia was able to start treatment (although it was late, unfortunately). It is also worthy to note, even after all the benefits of Ramid were used up, he never gave up on his daughter…he continued and still continues to fight for her…the only prayer this father has is that his daughter can be cured. Between chemotherapy and surgeries, the total expenses are mounted to be $3400. I do have $2,500 collected and $900 is needed. In the spirit of Ramadan, I ask your kind hearted souls to donate and help this family. All the costs will be covering medical expenses only.
