Stuff About Me:

Dr. Frances Burke has been a life-long advocate for women's and girl's rights across all areas of government, business and society. As Professor Emerita 2000 of Suffolk University, Dr. Burke has been President since 1980 of the Global Consultancy, Integrity International. Her career has emphasized the need for strong women to stand up and demand principled action and change in all corners of the earth.

Her formative years at Simmons College saw her enthusiastically testifying in 1945 before the Boston Hearing of the House Committee on Educators and Un-American Activities. She pioneered support for women and the media with her 1950's senior project a publication titled WOMEN'S WORLD. In 1976 she served on the Program Committee with the President of ASPA, Naomi Lynn, which brought four former first ladies together in Atlanta, Georgia for a groundbreaking conference on 'Women and the Constitution". Dr. Burke also organized a year-ling Massachusetts celebration with public administration students fostering multiple events honoring Eleanor Roosevelt's Centennial.

Dr. Burke has been honored with many awards in recognition of her innovative work, such as the Charles Levin Award for Excellence in Teaching, Research & Service from ASPA. For her commitment to encouraging future professional public/private women, she received the APSA Mentoring Award and is currently on the EMERGE Board, she encourages progressive women to run for office.

Her leadership research focuses on the endeavors of powerful women who linked both the public and private sectors: Mercy Otis Warren, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Hillary Clinton. Since 2004, she has organized globally Visibility for International Women's Day. She strongly urges all Women & Girls to make a difference, be a difference and SPEAK OUT!
