I’ve always loved watching boxing as a kid. When I was 16, I went out and bought a pair of gloves and made my dad hang up a heavy bag in our garage. Then I picked up a skateboard and that heavy bag and pair of gloves that sat and collected dust for 10 years. In the time in between, I grew up and started working in the Photography industry. After not playing any sports for most of my life, I’ve spent the past couple of years making up for lost time with running, swimming, rock-climbing, and most recently boxing.
When I heard about Fighters4Life I got really excited. A chance to prove myself, get in fighting shape, and finally dust off those 10 year old gloves all for a good cause. I know that I probably have the least amount of fight experience in the competition, which only motivates me to train harder at my gym, Church St Boxing Gym, in order to give the best possible fight on May 10th.
