Save the life a PUPPY … while his ‘mom’ also recovers from injuries in a local human hospital!
Charlie needs your HELP!
On Thursday, Aug. 21, Firefighters from FDNY Ladder 138 and Engine 289 in Queens NY aided a woman and her dog while responding to another call. According to the firefighters, the crew of Ladder 138 was responding to a water main break when they turned onto 43nd Avenue. Neighbors flagged down the ladder truck to help a woman and her puppy, who had been seriously injured when hit by a truck while riding a bicycle.
Once the woman was given emergency care and placed in an ambulance, members from Ladder 138 took the 5-month-old Pomeranian puppy named Charlie to the BluePearl Veterinary Partners specialty and emergency hospital in Queens. BluePearl doctors stabilized Charlie and have been providing supportive care and pain management. X-rays identified multiple fractures and he needs surgery this weekend to repair the wounds.
We are asking for donations to help save this puppy’s life! BluePearl will match 25% of everything we raise! Please support this fundraising effort to provide much needed emergency care to a puppy in desperate need of help! Your funds will go towards his treatment. If there are any funds remaining after Charlie’s surgery and after-care, funds will help save the next animal in need of lifesaving emergency care.
Thank you for your support!
