When I first heard about Haymakers for Hope I was quite impressed on the production and cache of an event like this being in the event business. Then once I learned more about Haymakers, it piqued my interest in getting involved as a fighter. Being a former athlete, my competitive nature took over. It has been quite difficult with my crazy schedule to commit to any activity as I used to, but figured there was no time better than the present. I have really pushed myself and the reward has been incredible, all while raising awareness and monies for something amazing!
Haymakers for Hope benefits Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. In the most recent years I have been affected personally as friends and family members diagnosed with different forms of cancer. This is a disease that puts you through the ringer. The heroes that go through treatment face more heartache and anguish than me pushing through in any workout or sparring session. At the end of the day I would like to do my best to help KO cancer.
Dedicating this one to Eric "DJ Littles" Palmariello and Janet Touzos both fighting harder than I ever will!
