Franklin Lakes kids feed the hungry!
Organized by: Alanna Arenstein
Did you know 20% of people living in the United States don't know where their next meal will come from? That's 1 out of 5 people...right here in the United States!
The Franklin Lakes elementary school children think that's unacceptable. So we're going to do something about it. On two separate days, 600 of us -- students, teachers and parents --will gather together on assembly lines to package 80,000 nutritious and delicious meals to fill our local food banks...and feed our hungry neighbors.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Rest assured we're doing our part — selling baked goods and lemonade, donating birthday money, collecting loose change around the house, and more. HOWEVER, it's simply not enough. In order to achieve our goal of 80,000 meals, we need to raise $20,000!
- Each FDA-approved nutritious meal costs just $0.25!
- ALL overhead costs are being subsidized, so every dollar you donate will feed FOUR people!
- ALL money and meals will stay right here in the United States!
- No donation amount is too small!
Please help the Franklin Lakes Elementary Schools change the world and fight hunger! Consider any donation via Crowdrise, a secure website. You will receive a receipt for your donation. Please donate now!
About Our Charity Partner
To accomplish this monumentous goal, we are partnering with Outreach Program, a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation that organizes food packaging events around the country. With more than 330 million meals packaged to date, the organization’s mission is to provide safe water, food, medical care, and education to those in need both abroad AND AT HOME - in the United States.
