Franklin Village Street Fair
Organized by: Ann DeBello
Franklin Village Street Fair is an 'almost' yearly event put on to showcase local artists and raise money for P.A.T.H., LAFD and this year we added Juvenile Diabetes.
We have 30-35 vendor booths, live music, art shows, pet adoptions and activities for the kids!
The 5900 block of Franklin is closed to traffic and open to the public, just like the 3rd St. promenade. The restaurants and retail stores all open their doors for the many happy residents and non residents of the Franklin Village neighborhood.
We are also celebrating La Poubelle's 50th Anniversary. Jacqueline & Francois Koster have been serving fine food to the neighborhood for 50 years!!
This year is the last year that Ann DeBello will be the matriarch of the event. She has hosted for the last 10 street fairs and is set to retire her crown to the next adventurous soul.
Ann has been instrumental in all things Franklin Village... including getting the little block named as above! We are, thanks to Ann, now an official city neighborhood!
We are looking for donations from our neighborhood people as well as anyone who would like to come and have a block party with us! We have it set for a Sunday, early to mid-December. So...all can buy local/handmade gifts for the holidays as well as holiday trees!
