BENEFITING: EXCEPTIONAL CARE FOR CHILDREN INC
I'M BACK!! I met Frank Pagliaro back in 2011. Although I am not a wine drinker (except for an occasional glass of moscato), I knew I wanted to run for his marathon team after learning more about him and the tremoudous work he does for charities. Since 2012 I've been a part of FranksWineMarathonTeam - running, fundraising, raising awareness for the charities we ran for. But in 2015 I wasn't able to join the team. I had to overcome a journey of my own. During my own recovery from a ruptured brain aneurysm, I came to know and appreciate what "Exceptional Care" is! Through medical advancement, the care and treatment from my medical team, and neurosurgeons, I am back to being my 'TURBO' self again. So when Frank asked me what I was up to this year, I told him immediately I was going to RUN AGAIN with FranksWine marathon team! What better way to give back and do what I love than to run again and help raise awareness and support for Exceptional Care for Children.
Exceptional Care for Children, a state-of-the-art residential healthcare facility serving technology-dependent children and their families. Located in Newark, Delaware, Exceptional Care for Children provides a continuum of care in a home-like environment. Exceptional Care for Children (ECC) is the first and only pediatric, skilled nursing facility in Delaware. Exceptional Care for Children, which founded in 1998 by Jeannine S. Winsness, RN, MSN, CRNP. ECC began as a vision for an improved model of care for medically fragile children. Seeing the need for care that bridged the gap between traditional in-patient treatment and the difficulties of pediatric home care models, Jeannine set about raising the money to open Exceptional Care for Children. Through Jeannine’s perseverance, the concept grew to be an interagency private- public collaboration.
I hope you will join me in supporting Exceptional Care for Children and donate. Thank you so much for your generous gift in advance.
