Corey is seventeen. He used to get straight a's. He used to love music any kind he would be able to name the song. The same thing with cars. Four years ago he witnessed a crime that was going on for six years with his sister and stepdad. His stepdad was sentenced to 18 years. He became angry he had lost the only dad he knew since he was young. Through the four years he developed a drug problem. It comes out in pieces there was things happen to him that nobody knew about through the years. Corey is a goodhearted young man. He loves animals. He always said he wanted to be a veterinarian. I woke up one morning to corey giving two homeless guys a cup of coffee and a bowl of soup. I flipped out because i had to explain to him the danger of bringing people you dont know into your home. But I knew he still had a good heart then. Coreys grandfather found out he had cancer two and a half years ago. He came to stay with us after his surgery. But never recovered and passed away last october 2015. Corey and his three brothers and sister and mother raised money for the funeral. After that corey couldnt deal with it. He started hanging around the wrong people. And now hes in trouble for things he said he didnt do. We tried to preach the importance of him knowing that if you are with someone who does the crime you will be charged the same. Corey wants to go into the army in nine months. We need help to get an attorney so he can get these felonies put down, that will follow him the rest of his life. And could even have him charged as an adult. Corey is adhd since he was five. He has ptsd. I believe in second chances. I hope everyone feels the same.
