A lot happened in 2016 with much more to happen in 2017 given the current political climate. Through our campaigns and projects like #SayHerName, #FundBlackFutures, #BlackWorkMatters, and Our Streets Our Bodies Our Voices, we've been building real power amongst young Black people across the country and locally in New York City.
We're bringing together all seven chapters to build stronger relationships, build concrete skills and knowledge, and continue to scheme for Black liberation in New Orleans. However, organizing a National Convening isn’t cheap, and each chapter is responsible for raising money. The New York City chapter is having a month long fundraising campaign to ensure that all of our members can go by raising $10000.
We know that if we're able to send all of our members, we'll be able to come back with a stronger set of skills and a clearer vision for how to develop a stronger local organization to organize young Black people in NYC. Your contributions will help over 30 of our members cover:
- Air Fare
- Local Tranportation
