Since 2006 Free for Life has partnered with organizations and individuals globally to meet the needs of sex trafficking victims and those who are at high risk through financial, emotional, and spiritual support. To date we have helped to rescue and meet the needs of over 550 girls in 5 countries including the United States.
Since 2010 one of our main focus areas has been Nepal where poverty, lack of education and social standing has left young women at highest risk of trafficking. Nepal is a source country for trafficking and the Global Slavery Index ranks it as number 5 in the world of countries with the highest prevalence of modern slavery. In a recent study out of 175 countries, Nepal was listed as the 125th poorest country in the world. All of these factors add up to young women being trafficked by the thousands every year. With an estimated 200,000 young women being held in brothels in India, China and the Middle East.
The funds raised will go toward our most successful program that address rescue, prevention and sustainability.
1. Border Monitoring: Since 2010 Free for Life has partnered with PRC in Nepal at 2 border monitoring stations, one on the Nepal/India border and the second on the Nepal/China border. As of July 2014 we have rescued 524 girls from slavery and have had 54 traffickers arrested. This is one of the most successful programs in Nepal to rescue girls. Our funds are low for this most important program.
$300.00 can rescue a girl from slavery.
Your donations would ensure we have the funds to keeps this program open rescuing hundreds of more girls, like Mina who was rescued though our border monitoring station and learned the skill of tailoring and now is the program director of the Tailoring Program.
The funds that are raise will go toward the continued rescue of girls though our two border monitoring stations. Just think how your donation can actually rescue a girl and bring freedom into her life. To help her now have the opportunity of a birght future that does not include slavery.
Our first border monitoring station was open in 2010 on the Nepal/India border and has helped to rescue over 450 girls from slavery. This station has also prevented hundreds of girls from ever being sold into slavery for a single day. Thousands of girls lives have been effected through this border station.
Our second border station was the first in history to open on the Nepal/Tibet border in 2013. To date 70 girls have been rescued from slavery as they were being trafficked into China (Tibet).
You can be a part of the first step which is freedom for a girl through these border stations. Please help us to rescue one more girl.
The pictures shown are only a few of the girls that have been rescued.
