As an Afghan Runner:
On 20 March, I will run my first street half marathon in support of Free to Run, the organisation that I will run for who supports many girls like me in Afghanistan and provide them the opportunity to run.
My ambition is to empower Afghan women and I am sure that their brothers and fathers like mine will support them to run for themselves for being strong. I run not only that I love my body but also that I am proud to be an educated Afghan women in the US and I would really like to see more girls getting an education.
I am thankful to my American Host family who has been supporting me in US. I am proud to be a SOLA student in the US and with this love, I am running for Peace in my country, and I am running to allow girls opportunities they deserve.
I am aiming to raise $1500 from supporters and I am going to work hard to reach this sum with the help of family, friends, fellow students and community members through.
