There are Freshwater Heroes around the Great Lakes. Will you help support them?
This is your opporrunity to help Freshwater Future ensure that people across the Great Lakes region have what it takes to protect their drinking water, beaches, favorite fishing holes and more.
The threats to the health of our waterways are real: toxic algae blooms, aging pipelines, and Asian carp are just a few examples of why the work to protect the Great Lakes is so critical.
We believe the best way to ensure their protection is to foster and support an engaged group of citizen groups and advocates. Freshwater Future heroes like Deborah Dorsey show that a group of committed neighbors in Detroit can not only improve their neighborhood with rain gardens, they can also be a part of a larger effort to protect the Great Lakes from polluted stormwater runoff.
Freshwater Future provides grants, trainings, and other resources so citizen advocates like Deborah have what they need to be involved and educated to do their part to protect the Great Lakes. Your financial support makes this work possible!
