We are Stamford American International School (SAIS) students and Friends of Lao Club (Club) members. We are practicing the International Baccalaureate learner profiles by organizing and raising awareness and funds for the Lao Friends Hospital for Children (LFHC) in Luang Prabang, Laos. LFHC is the only children's hospital in Northern Lao, providing free, high quality, compassionate healthcare. We believe in their mission of treatment, education and prevention through sustainable methods and hope to support them by participating in the Luang Prabang Half Marathon. Our Club will be visiting LFHC in October and running in the city's Marathon. Please show your support by sponsoring our humanitarian efforts in our run followed by a week long volunteer service to the Hospital.
I hope you are all having a great day. I will be participating in the Run For Children: Luang Prabang Half-Marathon in Laos (http://www.luangprabanghalfmarathon.com/). The run supports the Laos Friends Children's Hospital. The hospital is the only one in northern Laos that provides life-saving health care for children (https://fwab.org/laos/).
My goal is to raise $1500. A donation of $1,000 would support a full week of surgeries at LFHC, $100 would provide pain medication to 1,000 children, so even if you could just donate a small amount we can reach this goal together and in effect, we will make a significant impact.
You can make a donation through the following link (https://www.crowdrise.com/friends-of-lao-sa…/…/jordanathaide). My CrowdRise account is linked straight to the hospital's bank account, which ensures that the money raised goes straight to the hospital.
I hope that you will consider sponsoring my run in order to benefit the Laos Friends Hospital For Children.
Thank you so much for your support,
