The Bowl-A-Thon is the Friends of the Children NY Young Professionals Board’s largest fundraising event. I invite you to contribute to a fantastic cause that, as a former educator, is near and dear to my heart. The Harvard Business School Association has reported that for every $1 invested in FOTC, the community benefits over $7 in saved social costs. The money raised in this event goes directly to the full time paid mentors in a unique program that serves the most at-risk youth in Harlem and now the Bronx. ESQUIRE magazine recognized FOTC’s unique position as “the country’s first-ever paid mentoring organization” as a “great idea in mentoring” in the magazine’s October 2014 "89 Ways to Change a Life" issue. In addition, FOTC received a 4-star ranking from Charity Navigator, the highest overall ranking from America's largest independent charity evaluator.
