Help Friends of the Children reach 50% more children across the country! With this challenge match from the ALL WAYS UP foundation, and another challenge match from the Social Innovation Fund, every $1 invested turns into $4.70 for Friends of the Children.
All donations go directly to serving our youth. Be a part of their success, and help us reach $20,000 by December 31!
Gifts made during this campaign will go to the ALL WAYS UP foundation, and then, with their matching gift, Friends of the Children will receive a total of $40,000!
More info about Friends of the Children:
Friends of the Children is a revolutionary mentoring program. We intentionally select kids who face the most extreme challenges, and pair them with a salaried, professional mentor (a 'Friend') for 12.5 years. Kindergarten through graduation - no matter what!
Our program is based on evidence:
· 83% of our youth graduate from high school, although 60% have parents who did not
· 93% avoid the juvenile justice system, although 50% have parents who were incarcerated
· 98% avoid early parenting, although 85% were born to a teen parent
And, the Harvard Business School Association of Oregon did a return on investment study that showed: every $1 invested in Friends of the Children saves our communities $7.

More about the ALL WAYS UP Foundation:
In 2012, the ALL WAYS UP Foundation launched the Bridging the Gap Awards (BGA), a grant program that assists smaller sized charitable organizations that exemplify ALL WAYS UP’s mission to bridge the gap between an individual’s ambition and his/her opportunity to achieve. Working together with these organizations, ALL WAYS UP expanded its giving programs to include educational scholarships and and an annual leadership summit for low-income youth entering their first year of college. To date, through the BGAs and other initiatives, the Foundation has funded more than 40 community partners and over 200 education scholarships.
ALL WAYS UP thoroughly researches each organization to ensure that their methods are not only innovative, but offer sound and effective ways to solve low-income community problems. We help these organizations grow and thrive by bridging the funding gaps that exist while trying to build their organizational capacity. Recipients are awarded one-time grants to further their mission, and the six organizations participating in this fundraising campaign will be awarded matching donations.
