Friends of Zachary Len 2017 ~ City of Angels 5k
September 04, 2017
It's been about 3 1/2 years since we said our 'good-byes' to Zach. Zach was so much more than a person with a substance disorder. He was funny, loving, energetic, talented ... no words can describe the loss of Zach we experience each and every day.
Since that time, we have learned so much. We learned that the grief his family and friends go through everyday never ceases. We've learned that all those happy moments contain a bit of saddness, because Zach isn't there to share them with us. We've learned that those who have lost the most, continue forward to help others. Through City of Angels, we have met and have the pleasure of working along side wonderful people in order to help other families. Through Katie's Facebook Group, "What's Left Beind," siblings now have a place to talk with other sibiings who, in an instant, have had their lives changed in the most drastic way.
On January 28, 2014 we thought the drug epidemic was at it's worse. We thought that, from there, the number of deaths would start to decrease. We couldn't have been more wrong. The numbers continue to rise. The number of families who are devistated by addiction continues to rise. That's why City of Angels needs your help. COA continues to forge forward to help families, those in active addiction and those in recovery. In addition, COA is at the forefront to help educate families in hopes that they will never have to go through the pain and loss of addiction.
Please help us by donating to the COA's biggest fundraiser. 100% of ALL donataions goes directly to help with this battle. We thank you for always keeping Zachary in your prayers, sharing stories of him.
