'on site' ministry to people in schools, children's homes, community hospice(s), and centers for the disabled
this 501(c)3 non-profit organization was founded in 1995 by Mark & Laurie Muirhead.
Since 1993 Mark Muirhead and Friends have traveled in and out of the great Montego Bay, Jamaica area to share the love of God. Through the early days of summer missions trips, doors of opportunities began to open in child care homes and public schools! Nearly ten years ago full time work began in the community, and since January 12, 2005 Friends Forever TV become a full time 24/7 cable TV channel in Montego Bay. On April 5, 2012 the channel upgraded to digital equipment and on May 11, 2012 opened its 10th cable TV channel 239! The media allows this organization to tell the story to thousands on a daily basis.
An independent, five-member Board of Directors directs and guides the work of this ministry, registered in the state of North Carolina as a non-profit religious educational 501(c)3 organization. The leadership responds directly to the Board of Directors. Two of the Board members, Laurie Muirhead/Treasurer, and David A. Sutphin/Secretary have served the ministry from its inception.Additionally Tom Whidden/Vice-President (since 2007) and Kenneth Johnson (since 2000) serve this ministry leadership team. Our diverse group represents different church affiliations: Rhema Bible Church; Evangel Fellowship International; Oral Roberts Ministries Ministerial Alliance; and the Assemblies of God.
Although this organization is non-denominational and not officially aligned with any one denomination, we agree our purpose is to go where there are open community doors, and work with many churches in the body of the Lord Jesus Christ, "...so that none should perish, but all have everlasting life..."
