Join the Friends of Animals Run for NYC's Cats & Dogs in the Brooklyn Half Marathon on May 19th. From its beginning in 1957, Friends of Animals has assumed a leadership role in advocating low-cost spaying and neutering as the most effective means of preventing the births of dogs and cats, and their subsequent abandonment, suffering and mass killing. For more than five decades, we have operated the only nationwide breeding control program in the United States facilitating more than 2.5 million spay/neuter procedures.
This fundraiser will enable us to continue our life-saving work and benefit our low-cost spay-neuter program in the NY Metropolitan area by helping to provide subsidies for rescue groups, shelters and people on low-incomes to spay or neuter their cats and dogs at one of the veterinarians in our network. Friends of Animals expects to spay or neuter 25 cats and dogs if we reach our goal of raising $2,000. So lace up your running shoes and join the Run For NYC's Cats & Dogs!
