Update 6/24/14 from his mother: Update on Jeff Thompson at Baptist Hospital. After sitting up and walking with a walker yesterday, Jeff was in a lot of pain all night. They are taking him for another scan today on his abs, chest and lungs and want to rule out any blood clots. Hope to know more soon. Prayers please.
Update 6/20/14 from his mother: Long night, no sleep for either of us. Feeding tube is out, but he is nauseous He wants to go home and get back to work. Physical therapist may try to have him sit up today if his fractured ribs will allow. Oxygen level is to low so he is going by on it.
Update 6/19/14: They have taken Jeff off of the ventilator and beginning to bring him out of sedation.
On June 16th, Jeff Thompson fell from a roof, cracking his ribs and collapsing his lungs. As of the 17th, he is expected to be in the ICU for a while to be monitored for any complications. After that, he will likely have a long and difficult recovery, unable to work and without insurance. We are raising funds to help him through his recovery and to try and ensure that these medical bills don't add to his stress.
Jeff is a loving father, and supportive son and a great friend to all.
