Donate now and help us achieve our mission — to provide education and support for impoverished Nairobi children whose lives have been affected by HIV/Aids so they can transform their lives. We currently sponsor over 350 chidren.
Your donations make a direct, daily difference in the lives of children and families in Nairobi. We have a generous $35,000 matching grant from the Ted and Kathy Truscott Foundation in support of our Annual Appeal.
Any donation you make now will be DOUBLED by the Truscott Foundation, and if you use your company match it will be TRIPLED!
One of the signs of this transformation is that more students are finishing high school each year: five in 2012, twelve this year, and 39 projected for 2014. This is something only 40% of Kenyans achieve. We are truly making an impact. Sarah Wangari, a 2013 high school senior, spoke eloquently about her own transformation:
- "My life in Ngong Road Children Association has completely changed. Before I was just a simple girl with no mission just living life for the sake of it. But since I got in NRCA I have a dream. What was impossible started to become possible…. I thought I could not make it, but now they gave me the opportunity. They opened my eyes and made me see beyond. They gave me wings to fly like an eagle."

Ultimately, the most important sign of lives transformed will be gaining employment and then giving back to other children through Friends of Ngong Road, the organization that lifted them out of poverty and despair. We need your help to bridge the gap.
Sponsorship fees only cover the cost of education-related expenses like school fees, books, and supplies. We also provide support for the whole child by offering primary students two meals on school days and during vacations, lunch at the Saturday Program, basic medical care, and caseworker support. Funds for these activities are raised through this Annual Appeal.
The transformation is happening, and you can be an important contributor. Thank you in advance for keeping Friends of Ngong Road in your personal giving program.
