Thank you for clicking on my link!
As many of you know I have been working with the Jewish community in Cologne for the past 8 months. It has been an incredible experience with it's lions share of challenges and successes. Fall and Winter have passed and now that it's Spring, we have long days filled with sunshine, spring showers, and like the lush and heavy trees in the Köln city parks that I run through, my work here and events are blossoming.
I've chosen to participate in a 55 mile bike ride from Auschwitz to the heart of present day Jewish Krakow. I've never visited Poland or a former concentration camp before, and this bike ride to raise funds for the important work of JCC Krakow is exactly the way I want to do it. I know it will be a meaningful experience that will help to put much of the work, learning and personal growth from my time in Germany into a larger context. Last year the funds raised from the innaugural Ride of the Living helped to send Holocaust Survivers to Israel, many for their first times. Just think what mitzvot we can achieve this year?!
Please help me in whichever way you can with a tax deductable donation. I am feeling such deep support from family and friends as we have surpassed the humble goal of $600 that I set a couple of weeks ago. Let's see if we can hit $1,000!
With love and gratitude,
