Our cyclists and supporters info - great personal stories
February 22, 2016
EVENT DATE: Apr 10, 2016
On April 10th, 2016, a group of disabled, paralyzed, wounded and severely injured cyclists, paired with able-bodied cyclists (military vets, civilians and supporters) will trek 3,113 miles from San Diego to Camp Lejeune, NC, in an inspirational journey of determination, unity and strength. The goal of this unprecedented journey is to raise awareness about the benefits Adaptive Sports can offer our veterans suffering life-altering injuries while serving our country and to show them that the camaraderie they knew in service can be re-established through a multitude of sports opportunities. The entire ride will be done in 10.5 days and the teams will cycle on a 24/7 rotation with minimal breaks along the way. All proceeds raised will benefit the Semper Fi Fund, The Independence Fund and The Adaptive Sports & Adventures Program.
