I have a challenge and I need your help to reach my goal--check this out!
You know that I just am crazy about bungee-jumping. I've decided that I want to push my total distance as far as I can in the service of supporting the Learning Web. How you ask? I will step up my number of jumps and the total fall distance. I plan on increasing my total fall distance in one month to 5000FT which means I'll jump every weekend steadily increasing the fall distance and the number of jumps.
My goal is to raise $1000 for The Learning Web. If I can get 200 of you to donate $5 (that 1/10th of a penny per foot of my fall distance) I will make my goal. You can donate less or you can donate more--every little bit helps me reach that goal. I'll be posting some of my jumps as the fundraiser progresses. Now for the why of my challange-----
My fraternity Phi Sigma Pi has "adopted" a local ithaca non-profit youth agency, The Learning Web. We want to support them not only because Ithaca is our host but because the work the Learning Web does is very close to our hearts.
Helping adolescents on their journey to adulthood is The Learning Web’s mission: sparking a passion, connecting them with an adult role model, helping them learn how to live on their own and believe in themselves, growing a vision for their future, helping young people evolve into valued members of our community—in the workplace, as parents, as neighbors, as active and productive citizens.
Phi Sigma Pi is a championing this fundraiser, named "Fuel The Learning Web Spark!" Fuel The Learning Web Spark captures the very essence of The Learning Web and connects with PSP's mission to further learning and service.
I have a limited time to achieve my challenge and I am asking YOU-- friends, family and colleagues :) to acknowledge the importance of identifying and fulfilling personal goals by making donations to The Learning Web—Please support me and you will be supporting a lot of local Ithaca youth helped by The Learning Web!
