McGuire Memorial Foundation's Fundraiser:

Fund a Future

McGuire Memorial Foundation's Photo

Students at The School at McGuire Memorial need special care, as they are physically and/or emotionally fragile. We offer programs for students on the autism spectrum and students with multiple disabilities. We have served children from more than 40 school districts across the region, and have seen them grow and succeed as students here. Class sizes are limited to eight students, with each class staffed by one special education teacher and at least two paraprofessionals. Our classrooms are set up each school year according to both the age and capabilities of each individual student, enabling all to advance at the most desirable rates. Like many local charities, The School at McGuire was impacted as a result of lack of state funding approval. Since student placement is funded by a combination of school district and state funding, many children ages 3-21 years old with physical or intellectual disabilities have not been cleared to attend the school or benefit from the comprehensive education, range of therapeutic services, and individualized curriculum that the school provides within a nurturing and loving environment. To ensure that all children, no matter the scope of his or her abilities or the financial abilities of their parents, experience a fullness of life and continuous learning in an individualized program, The School at McGuire Memorial has launched its Scholarship Fund appeal -- Fund a Future. We have set a high goal, but ask that you give or raise what you can to help. The School at McGuire Memorial is licensed as a Private Academic School, providing individualized special education services for students ages 3 to 21 who have multiple disabilities or who are on the autism spectrum.
