Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago (BBBSMC) provides over 1,700 at-risk Chicagoland youth with caring, positive adult role models who change their lives for the better, forever.
Our mentoring programs are provided at no cost to youth and their families. On average, we invest $2,000 of professional services to enroll, screen, interview, match and support each volunteer “Big” (volunteer) and “Little” (enrolled youth) in the first year and $1,500 each year thereafter.
We do this to ensure a long-lasting, high-quality, safe relationship that results in positive outcomes; research shows that youth enrolled in our programs improve academically, reduce high-risk behaviors, and increase their ability to lead healthy and productive lives.
Be the start of something BIG by donating today.
You will offer a chance for children facing adversity to reach their full potential through our mentoring programs.
