EVENT DATE Jul 08, 2015
I'm creating this fundraiser for the sake of helping my parents after they lost their son. My younger brother Daniel Joseph McNamara passed away on July 6th, 2015. He was 27 years old. I've been trying to be the mediator between my family and the rest of the outside world. They are both in their mid 60's and now they have the unfortunate responsibility of burying their baby with the burden of not knowing what they can do to afford the proper service. Death is apart of life. I understand that, but my family doesn't have a lot to work with; including myself. I have to make sure my parents are taken care of and by raising money for them is the only way I can ask for help. I wanted to be detailed as possible so I can let those who read about this fundraiser that my family has never been good enough to experience something like this happen. No parent should ever have to bury their child, EVER. And it's unfortunate that they have to do so. In by asking for support from friends, co-workers and other people, you're taking a little bit of weight off myself and my family. This is going to be a long period of recovery and no death is easy, but I wanted to do the right thing, evaluate my personal family situation and make sure they can be taken care of for the time being. If I had even close to half of what I'm asking for to help pay for this horrific event, I wouldn't bother making this, but I do need help. Any kind of donation would greatly appreciated. My parents (at the moment that I'm creating this) are going through the choices of figuring out what they want to do when it comes to the layout of the burial, but they are living with this headache of how much everything costs and not sure what kind of outside help, if they are going to get anything, they are going to get. I don't know too much about funerals and how much things cost. I'm asking for $20,000 for funeral costs and for a little lead way in trying to recover from this over time. All of the money will be going to my family to help family emergenices for the forseeable future. The quicker I can make sure they are okay, the quicker I can be getting back on the grind to hopefully have something secure when I do get back to work. If there's any information that I can provide that I haven't been able to do here, I will try to do my best to follow through. This is a very hard time for my family, but every bit of help is appreciated. Thank you kindly. James McNamara Jr.
