Friends and Family,
As part of my graduate program in Social Entrepreneurship and Change, I will be traveling to a small fishing village in Nicaragua to work with NICA, an amazing community development organization working to help the country become more self-sufficient and become a greater participant in the global economy. I will be in Nicaragua for two weeks (Jan/Feb 2013) to volunteer my time and take steps towards empowering women to rise above their poverty through creating or improving sustainable businesses. My hopes are to work with women cooperative groups as we analyze and improve marketing and networking strategies with the goal of increasing business and income for this community which is currently experiencing extreme poverty. I am excited to be a part of this great learning experience and do what I can to help NICA with the inspiring work they are doing.
Will you partner with me in this? I ask for your support and prayers as I travel for this volunteer work. The total cost of this 2 week trip is $1500, and I would be extremely grateful any financial support. Your donation goes directly to NICA, and is tax deductible. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." - 1 Peter 4:10
