My first orange Schwinn townie came from Free Cycles Missoula. It was a special bike--one that was stolen from me a couple of times and always, somehow, came back to me. Now, 20 years later, I am riding a blue Bianchi from Freecycles. Every time I ride this bike, I think of Bob, the most civc minded man I know who officiated my husband's and my wedding. This donation is made in support of the incredible non-profit that Bob, in cahoots with hordes of volunteers, has cultivated over the years. I am forever impressed with how much this organization--no institution--has given back to the community of Missoula. Freecycles, if any, is an organization that deserves a permanent home in MIssoula. 2 years ago

Free Cycles nurtured our homegrown bike rickshaw collective with frames, parts, tools and most hugely of all, a home base for our operations. As we worked to provide low-carbon transportation (I mean, we had to power the loud-ass stereos with dirty, dirty coal, but other than that...). Free Cycles and Bob (and yeah, Doerner, kind of) always had our back. Thank you one billion times! 2 years ago
