Donations go directly to charity
What's the difference between raising money for a Charity and raising money for a Person/Group?
Raising money for a charity means that you are setting up a fundraiser to benefit a charitable organization (e.g. Red Cross, UNICEF, your local USO chapter). The money you raise will go directly to the charity and we take care of everything, from issuing tax-deductible receipts for your donors, to getting the funds to the charity. So easy.
Raising money for a person or group means that you are setting up a fundraiser to benefit a good cause, such as a friend’s medical bills, accidents & emergencies, your tuition, school volunteer trips, a house fire, sports teams, etc. The big difference is that the funds you raise go directly to you, and we will automatically deposit them in your bank account. Gets no simpler and we have by far the lowest pricing of any crowdfunding site.
What does it cost to fundraise on CrowdRise?

We take care of issuing the receipts for tax purposes and we make sure the funds get to the charity quickly. CrowdRise is trusted by the finest charities in the world, including the Red Cross, UNICEF, Clinton Global Initiative, USO, March of Dimes.
If you want more specific info on exactly how funds get delivered to charities, here goes: donations are processed by either Network for Good or WePay. Both are PCI Level 1 (that’s the best) secure credit card processing services. The charity you’re raising money for has the option to use either WePay or Network for Good. WePay sends funds to charities in real time. Network for Good sends payments to charities on the 15th of each month that includes all the donations made in the previous month. So, for example, they’d get a check on November 15th or for the donations processed in October.
