If you want more specific info on exactly how funds get delivered to charities, here goes: donations are processed by either Paypal Giving Fund, or WePay. Both are PCI Level 1 (that’s the best) secure credit card processing services. The charity you’re raising money for has the option to use either Paypal Giving Fund, or WePay. WePay sends funds to charities in real time. Paypal Giving Fund sends payments to charities on the 15th of each month that includes all the donations made in the previous month. So, for example, they’d get a check on November 15th or for the donations processed in October.
