The Trevor Project is the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.
The Trevor Project was founded by writer James Lecesne, director/producer Peggy Rajski and producer Randy Stone, creators of the 1994 Academy Award®-winning short film, Trevor, a comedy/drama about a gay 13-year-old boy who, when rejected by friends because of his sexuality, makes an attempt to take his life.
So many youths are being bullied today because they are gay and sadly many are taking their lifes because of this. This bullying needs to stop and these youths needs someone to talk to. That is what the Trevor Project is all about reaching out that helping hand and being there.
Personally I have been discriminated many times for being gay and I know what it can do to your mind. This is the reason to why I am now making my very first project on Crowdrise to let you that are bullied for being who you are know YOU are NOT alone in this.
This project lays very close to my heart, please support and donate today, any help will do.
The Trevor Project is determined to end suicide among LGBTQ youth by providing life-saving and life-affirming resources including our nationwide, 24/7 crisis intervention lifeline, digital community and advocacy/educational programs that create a safe, supportive and positive environment for everyone.
"It costs just $15 to answer one phone call on The Trevor Helpline. One call; one life. A donation in any amount will directly fuel our lifesaving programs and work. Please become a lifesaver by giving as generously as you can".
