Fundraiser to assist Nigerian students in Russia
Organized by: Bodunde Onemola
Having left the comfort of their homes back in Africa, students who are meant to be cartered for by the Nigerian government which is responsible for their monthly stipends are abandoned them for several months without pay. This has become a recurring decimal as students are left to starve for indefinitely. It gets to a pitiable situation that even the lowest level of bread in Russia, which is feed to the poorest of the poorest becomes gold. Feeding almost on nothing in a country where students cannot work, have to face racial descrimination and xzenophobic tendencies and the harshest of eastarn european climate is the last thing the expected. Some who are caught working illegally face deportation threats. Despite this situation, there are some whose families still depend on their stipends. Life can really be hard in Russia. We use this avenue to ask all the good people out there to come to our aid. A dollar can change someones life.
