BENEFITING: INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY FOR CHILDREN WITH CANCER
EVENT DATE: Jun 30, 2013
It all started when I got to know that Mrs. Parvaneh Vossough passed away on May 19. She was chairperson of MAHAK’s Board of Trustees (charity based in Tehran, Iran) and is known as the Iran's Mother Teresa. She devoted her life to help people and make them happy. It was one of those moments that strikes you and makes you do something. So, I thought, maybe I can do something even very small. The Society to Support Children Suffering from Cancer, also known as MAHAK, was set up in 1991 in Iran as a non-governmental and non-profit organization. International society for Children with Cancer known as ISCC, MAHAK affiliate, is a non-profit organization established in the state of California, US to help providing financial assistance for indigent children suffering from cancer and their families in third world countries. I have started this fundraising to collect donations for ISCC. The very first step for me was to shave my hair like those children being chemotherapied fighting with cancer. I will keep my head shaved for the whole month of June as I am running this fundraising. I need your help to make this happen! Please donate and share my fundraising page with your friends!
