Support for Dawn
Organized by: Liz Lutz
In the Spring Dawn Block noticed an abnormality in her right breast. After a mammogram and later a biopsy, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, the cancer is treatable with three months of chemotherapy treatments, followed by seven weeks of radiation and a year of targeted therapy injections.
As you can imagine, her treatment comes along with costly medical bills. Dawn, a single mom, is still able to work to the best of her ability to provide for her family but the increasing costs and exhaustion are taking its toll. Going through the treatment in addition to the costs associated is very stressful and if we can alleviate she would be so grateful.
Dawn's friends have put together this fundraising page to help her. Dawn is not one to ask for help and prefers to help others through her volunteer work in her community by providing meals to the National Guard after Hurricane Sandy, countless walks as well as donations to local and national charities. Please consider donating to help our friend manage her medical bills with what you can.
She has always there for each of us and now it's time for us to support her through this battle!
*All funds raised will go to Dawn Block
