Freeway, the Boxer, was rescued off the side of I-630 West on the evening of Sunday, July 6th. He and another dog were running alongside the freeway at 7:30 PM. I was able to catch Freeway within 15 minutes and spent the next hour and fifteen minutes trying to catch the female dog. I was unable to catch her as it grew dark and I had to leave.
Freeway has been checked out by a vet and received his shots, with his neuter pending for the very near future. He was COVERED in ticks, all different kinds and sizes, but is thankfully negative for ehrlichia. However, he did test positive for heartworms, so we need help getting that treated so he'll be ready for adoption.
Any additional extra funds will be used towards our other 2 heartworm positive dogs currently in foster.
