If 60 people gave $10 each, I could get this test within a month. Please help... See more
I am an 8 year volunteer at a church, and 17 year volunteer with a dog rescue organization near Chicago. I just got back in early June, from a 3 month trip to East Malaysia, where I helped with their local branch of the SPCA (animal shelter). My finances are exhausted, I am looking for work, and I am not insured. My father got colon cancer, and my older brother had polyps removed when he was my age. I am very concerned. I did a lot of research, and found an organization in my area that offers very discounted colonoscopy testing. They use medical facilities that donate part of the services, reducing the average cost from $3-4k, down to about $1200 (my chipin is set to $600 now because I have family/relatives willing to cover half if I can raise the other $600). I don't have many options, and I will admit I am scared. I can get an appointment within 1-2 weeks if I hit my goal. I have no regrets about giving my time to worthy causes, but I am the one who needs the help now. This is not a fun test to get, it does hurt a little, but I need it asap. I set the time on the chipin for 3 months, but sooner would be a *lot* better. I have OCD so I am losing sleep, and worried about this *all* the time. I am not a man of great pride, so please help...
