The Covering Hands Initiative
The Covering Hands Initiative is a voluntary fundraising effort that aims to assist countries affected by the current Ebola outbreak and furthermore prevent the further spreading to neighboring countries and even continents.
The Initiative’s primary goal is to supply the JFK Memorial Medical Center in Liberia with gloves and other protective gear for the healthcare volunteers combating the Ebola epidemic at the source in West Africa.
This epidemic is the largest and longest in history and has killed more people than all other previous outbreaks combined. It has spread in several countries, particularly affecting Liberia, Guinea, and Sierra Leone.
More than 300 hundred healthcare workers have died and another 600 were infected due to absence of adequate protective items.
Donate to the Covering Hands Initiative and become part of this voluntary effort to provide these basic protective items that would make a difference for thousands of medical personnel and volunteers saving the lives of those infected with the virus in West Africa.
