Help me send off my mother in peace…
Over a year ago, my mother Chimbidzikai Linda Maburutse, got diagnosed with breast cancer and as we might recall we ran to her side. It was of great success that with all our inputs and efforts we managed to raise $14,000 to get her treatment. Thank you to friends and friends of friends for all your support. Thanks to your support, my mother received chemo and radiotherapy. As a strong lady, she fought through the chemo and radiotherapy and had just started her recovery as a result. Many of you may be aware of some of the challenges that a person who has just completed this kind of treatment goes through, however, I am glad to say that my mother was a trooper.
Nearly a week ago her body started failing and I am saddened to inform you all that on Monday April 27, 2015 at 6:47pm (in Zimbabwe) my mother passed away. The reason why my mother is such an important person to me is because she was my protector, my strength, my friend, my confidante and the reason why I am where I am today. I was born with a bone condition called Osteogenesis Impecta- ‘brittle bone syndrome.' And my mother believed I would succeed no matter my condition.
Knowing my mother at a moment like this, she would want me to get in touch with everyone and ask for all the help I can. Therefore, at this time of my life, I am reaching out to you all to help my family and me out with laying my mother to rest. For us to be able to give her the best sendoff we can I kindly ask you all, family and friends, to help me raise $3500-$4000. I will be on the ground in Zimbabwe to ensure the funds are used for my mother's funeral, and it means so much to me and my entire family. Thank you.
