Furry Friends For Flint
Organized by: Pamela Eatman
In response to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, you can become part of an initiative to provide emotional support to the children. Although it is beyond our control to lessen the short- or long-term effects on the children, we would like to be able to provide “Furry Friends for Flint” for the estimated 6,000 - 8,000 children affected. We are in need of corporate and individual donations or sponsorship to purchase stuffed animals to give to children as they anxiously wait to have their blood drawn for lead testing. As we witness the devastating effects of this crisis and how it is affecting our children, both physically and emotionally, we can provide a small token of love and support to the children of Flint. Although it is not within our power to make this “all go away”, we can provide some relief from the stress that has been created. Any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated.
