BENEFITING: CIRCLE OF SISTERHOOD FOUNDATION INC
EVENT DATE: Oct 13, 2013
So I learned long ago that there's no such thing as a self made man, that we are all dependent on the assistance of others for whatever success or happiness we are fortunate enough to enjoy. I was reminded recently that this applies to endurance events as well. None of us compete individually. It takes the support of many for an athlete to cross the finish line.
While I'm blessed with the ability, support, and resources needed to compete, there are many across the globe who need emotional and financial support simply to go to school. Circle of Sisterhood is such a support system for girls and women in our own backyard and as far away as Cambodia. In less than three years, "CofS" has had an impact in 14 countries, on four continents, and even funded a school build in Africa. Closer to home, CofS has become an incredibly important part of our family, as Sue serves on the Board and our daughter serves as CLSO - Chief Lemonade Stand Officer. In all seriousness, we believe deeply in CofS's mission and vision, and remain in awe of those who are "doing the work." Team Fussell has watched CofS grow from an idea, to a movement, to a life and world changing organization. To see firsthand how lives are being lifted by Circle of Sisterhood, please visit circleofsisterhood.org or like/follow them on Facebook and Twitter. No doubt, you'll be amazed at the work they are doing.
Just as I'm unable to finish the Chicago Marathon without a "little help from my friends," organizations like Circle of Sisterhood need the generous support of people like you to continue the amazing work they are doing. Please consider a gift of $26 (or more!) to help reach our goal of $5000.00 and ensure that CofS can continue to change lives...globally. (BTW, if something completely ridiculous happens and we break $10,000, I'll do this again next year.)
We are proud and honored to support CofS and would be grateful if you'd join Team Fussell in assisting the important work they do.
Thanks, in advance, for being a part of this journey.
PS - It's completey acceptable if you tell all your friends, family, coworkers, former teachers, bosses, neighbors, and any rando on the street about this effort. There's no way we can do this without the support of those way outside my "circle." So call, text, tweet, and post away. LET'S MAKE A MEMORY!
