Thank you for visiting my donation page as I tackle the Los Angeles Marathon on St. Patrick's Day - March 17th, 2013. I appreciate you taking a moment to understand what this great charity does for others aroud the world. Please help me raise money for those that do not have the gift of mobility in less fortunate parts of our world. The cost to make and ship out specially designed rugged wheelchair is only $71.88. I ask that you donate just $1 for each of the 26 miles I will run and help secure 1/3 of a new wheel chair for someone who does not have the ability to even walk one mile on their own.
FWM is a non-profit, faith-based humanitarian organization that is dedicated to giving wheelchairs to people in impoverished and underdeveloped countries around the world. To date, we have provided 670,000 wheelchairs to people in 86 countries worldwide.
I started seriously running in Feb. 2011 and was originally excited to tell friends that I had completed a simple 4 mile run(still a good length run). Since then I have worked up to running a half-dozen ½ marathons and two full marathons. I have coached many friends and family to challenge themselves to complete their own initial half and full marathons. The entire experience has been both one of the most physically and mentally rewarding journeys of my life. Every person in my pictures had just successfully finished their first half marathon and all have continued to push themselves in new races around California.
Thank you all for your support!
