I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer August 2014 the month before my only son was moving 580 miles away to attend college. There was no way I was going to let Cancer change or ruin my son's education and future. So I took all my money out of my retirement account to live off of and pay bills, and use for any expenses my son may have for college that the student loans don't cover. Also I've got high credit card debit, because I used them to cover airfare so my son could come home to see me during my Chemotherapy treatments. i also took a trip to Utah after my Chemotherapy was over but before my Double Masectomty Surgery . I wanted to show my son how strong I am, and that everything will be OK, and how proud I am of him. Everyday I'm so proud of him that he was able to not only move away from home to a strange city & state, but that his mother was just diagnosed with Cancer. He did it and has been on the Dean's List and I've never been more proud of him. His success was my strength each and everyday. Now I have completed my Radiation treatments and have returned to work, but I am living paycheck to paycheck and would be so blessed to get any money to help cover my bills.
